Terra Linda High School was previously known for its age-old pool that was there since the early 60s, but following the recent remodeling project, the school now has a new pool.. Over the past few decades the campus pool has become a nostalgic part of the campus history. Here’s all the historical facts and information about the TLHS pool. The highly anticipated facility replaces the aging pool with a massive milestone for the district athletic and recreational program.
. The new pool features a completely new 40 meter pool, elevated seating for spectators, open roofing to block the sun, diving boards, and outside showers. Many of the new aspects of the pool have already become popular among students. “My favorite part of the new pool is the steps on the outside of the pool, and how clean and clear the water is,” Abigail Little, TL freshman and water polo player, said. Little also noted that two separate water polo games can be played at the same time because of the increased pool size. These improvements help ensure that all aquatic teams have the space and resources they need to practice efficiently.
The pool is fully operational, allowing the school to host practices and competitions for water polo and the swim team. “I like the new pool; it’s much nicer than the old one we’ve been using for the past 60 years,” said TL PE coach David Garcia. Even though the old pool held many campus memories, this long overdue upgrade maximizes functionality, student safety, and athletic performance for many generations to come
Demolition of the old pool began. The entire project took about two years, with it reopening in August 2026. The new pool is already an essential part of Terra Linda High School’s campus. Thanks to its new features, the pool is easily accessible to all.
