“Home, Refuge, Sanctuary” Art Walk

Chase Olson

The “Home, Refuge, Sanctuary” art show, from March 9th through April 10th, will be showing at Art Works Downtown, 13367 Fourth Street, San Rafael. An entirely student generated show, it is based on what “home” means in the current political climate. Students from Visual Art, Graphic Design, Photography, and Ceramics make art based on home, refuge, and sanctuary. Strong pieces that fit this subject are displayed in the Underground Gallery. The reception is part of the 2nd ever Friday Artwalk from 5-8 pm on March 9th. During the Artwalk, professional artists’ studios are open for walk throughs. If sold, the money goes to the student who created the art piece. If you are interested in art, make sure to attend and support our youth and local artists!
