Blood Drive

Terra Linda’s biannual blood drive event was held last Friday March 25th in Gym 1.  It was hosted by the school’s Interact Club. Gabby Carrade, sophomore, and Amanda Evans, junior, are the Interact Club presidents and they were in charge of setting up this event. About 60 people donated blood. The process took about 10-15 minutes to draw blood and included a 30-minute waiting period afterward. The nonprofit organization that was in charge of the whole blood extracting process was Blood Centers of the Pacific. Jordan Semanick, one of the students who was there to volunteer to get his blood drawn said “It was a great cause and I can’t wait till they host it again in the fall.” Students weren’t the only people to donate blood. Some parents and teachers came to donate also. The event was a success and many lives will be saved as a result of our school’s effort.
