The Terra Linda Trojans Varsity Soccer Team won the MCAL championship on Saturday, February 13th, defeating Redwood 1-0. Jerry “The Goat” Maldonado scored the only goal of the game on a penalty kick in the twenty-first minute of the game. In a post game interview with the Marin IJ, Maldonado said, “I guess it’s just good luck at the spot. Two penalties, two championships basically for me. Before the game I had a feeling I would score and luckily I did.”

The Trojans will face Marin Academy today, February 24th, in an NCS playoff semifinal. Marin Academy is coming off a 1-0 win against Branson. The game will be played here at Terra Linda and will kickoff at three o’clock. If the trojans win, they will advance to the NCS championship game.
