It’s that time of year again, Trojans! With Homecoming‘s quick arrival this school year, elections for Homecoming King and Queen are fast approaching. After input from the student body and faculty, 12 wonderful seniors were voted to be on the Homecoming Court!
Josie Quinby and Bennett Kayser:
Josie Quinby is involved in Terra Linda’s sports and student life. She is also passionate about the Terra Linda community. Josie would describe herself as bubbly, determined, and adventurous. One thing you would be surprised to learn about Josie is that she has double-jointed arms! Bennet is a team player in the classroom as well as in sports. Bennet participates in basketball and lacrosse at Terra Linda and is a part of ASB. Describing himself in three words, Bennett would be crazy, unpredictable, and mysterious. If Bennet could sing any song in the shower it would be “Meet the 6ixers” by BigXthaPlug.
Shama Stropes and Cole Nelson:
Voting for Cole means that you are voting for a dedicated Trojan who is devoted to MSEL, basketball, and baseball. Cole shows his Trojan spirit by attending Terra Linda sports games, whether that’s as a fan or a player. Cole would describe himself as outgoing, friendly, and conscientious. Cole’s biggest phobia is phobophobia (fear of being afraid). Shama Stopes is a strong candidate because she is dedicated to having a fun school year, as well as being a voice for her peers. Shama is also a part of the Terra Linda student life community participating in Cheer, ASB, and MSEL. Outgoing, determined, and spontaneous would be the three words Shama would use to describe herself. Shama’s funniest way she has ever gotten an injury was when she cut her finger slicing an avocado.
Anaël Pyram and Luis Cardenas:
Anaël is dedicated to being active in the Terra Linda community. She is involved in activities such as Back to School Night, and participating in community volunteering. Anael would say she is energetic, spirited, and caring. A perfect day for her would be hanging out with her friends in warm weather, as well as shopping and going to the beach. Luis is involved within the school community and he tries to help people however and whenever he can. Luis would describe himself as kind, passionate, and respectful. If Luis could have any class added to TL, he would choose a cooking and baking class.
Kelly Martinez and Colin Bender:
Kelly is an involved and well-rounded candidate. She is ASB President, a varsity cheerleader, and a member of CSF. Kelly would describe herself as hardworking, funny, and determined. If Kelly were to own an unconventional pet, it would be a kangaroo! Colin is the senior class president and an active school community member. He shows up to every game with 100% spirit. Colin describes himself as spirited, driven, and a “Renaissance man”. If you were to put Colin on aux in your car, he would play “Bulletproof” by La Roux.
Diana Golodamu and Patrick Knopf:
Diana is very involved in the TL community, having played volleyball and tutored peers for all four years. Diana describes herself as supportive, kind, and self-motivated. If Diana were to get rid of one state, she would pick Rhode Island because it’s so small. Patrick makes sure to go all out for spirit days and games to show his support for Trojan Nation. He has also played four years of lacrosse and water polo at TL. Patrick would describe himself as creative, outgoing, and kind. If Patrick were in the movie Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, he would want Hawaiian ribs and grilled pineapple to fall from the sky.
Emily Erickson and Mateo Pattani:
Emily has a lot of school spirit and will show up to all of the school events and sports games. She also participates in the MSEL and Scream team. She describes herself as empathetic, driven, and humorous. If Emily was to jump into a pull of anything it would be full of Orbeez. Mateo is a dedicated member of the Terra Linda community, having participated in ASB and football for all four years. Mateo would describe himself as funny, creative, and determined. If Mateo was an animal he says he would be a dog because he is energetic and loves to cheer people up when they’re sad.
