I walk on a path that leads me to the warm sand.
Turquoise water, I gaze as waves twirled.
Feel of the warmth like a warm fire close to my hand,
Smell of fresh air the cleanest in the world
Kids and parents splashing, laughing as they play.
From the waves comes a dark blue boat,
Horn honking and screaming, “get out of the way!”
Their need to park, destroying their day
The ocean calls my name with a gentle sound
Its waves like arms reaching all around
The sun beats down, hotter than fire
Making the water sparkle like liquid sapphire
The sea stretches far, bigger than the sky
Holding secrets as the clouds drift by
It breathes in and out calm but strong
A deep blue world that feels endless and long
