Temporary escape
From the busy bustle
For once we don’t have to hustle
Cold air turns humid
as we leave the chaos
And go to a paradise to lay off
Sticky sunscreen coats my skin
As we eat fish from its fin
Tanned and happy we forget
What day it is
While we play in the pool all wet
Ripe fruit, palm trees
Souvenir graphic tees
Burnt like a red vine
I need me some wine wine
We don our bikinis
While mom drinks martinis
Sitting on the beach we have a sunset feast
We take a deep breath and we are at peace
Momentary freedom
The perfect escape
Full of memories worth keep’in
