With new and returning students starting the new school year, many are wondering about the massive construction site on campus, and at what stage the project is at. Construction started in June 2024 with the removal of the existing pool, cheer/weight rooms, wrestling room, and locker rooms.
Today, Terra Linda students can see half-completed buildings from the outside, with a construction team working on them daily. While students are not able to access the interiors of these new buildings yet, new pictures of the facilities shine a light on how far along the construction is.
From these photos, students are able to see the half completed interiors of the building, as well as the new pool layout. Much of the interiors are unfinished, although most lockers, toilets, and sinks have been installed. The bathrooms follow the same layout as the new bathrooms in the main building, with floor to ceiling stall doors. While much of the bones of the building are in place, there is still a long way to go until the main PE building will be fully completed. Additionally, the pool is dug, but nothing has been done in terms of tiling or irrigation yet.
At the end of the project, which administration expects in May 2026, students can expect to see a new pool, a concessions stand, new locker and team rooms, a ticket booth, a new cheer room equipped with a rock climbing wall, a new wrestling room, and a completely outfitted weight room. While there is certain mystery surrounding when the different components will be completed, teams should be able to use these facilities starting next school year.
Although seniors will not be able to fully enjoy these facilities before they leave campus, future classes have the new buildings and pool to look forward to over the remainder of their high school years. These changes reflect the Terra Linda administrative attitude of creating a beautiful campus for all students to enjoy. For more information on the facilities, students and parents should look towards the TLHS Aquatic Center Phasing and Design Video, which shows the finished facilities in detail.
